Ex-MNA accused of siding with PTI worker's killers.

HARIPUR -- Residents of Ghazi tehsil on Sunday demonstrated against former MNA Omar Ayub Khan for allegedly siding with killers of a Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf worker for petty political gains.

It is pertinent to mention here that Mr Omar, accompanied by his cousin and former provincial minister Akbar Ayub Khan, were in Ghazi to inaugurate upgradation work on the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Ghazi, at the cost of Rs650 million.

However, Irum Rasheed Khan alias Rimi Khan, a social activist, led a demonstration a few yards from the plague that the former MNA unveiled, blocking the Tarbela Road for some time.

Speaking on the occasion, Rimi Khan accused Mr Omar of being instrumental in making former MPA Faisal Zaman's family to join PTI for his political gains. She said Mr Zaman was directly charged in the murder of PTI office-bearer Tahir Iqbal and his friend, and had since been absconding.

She also accused the former prime minister Imran Khan of giving party's membership to the family members of absconding former MPA for Rs800 million.
