EU approves Rs7.8bn grant for GB, KP.

GILGIT -- The European Union has approved a grant of Rs7.86 billion (31.5 million euros) to support sustainable and climate-resilient projects in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to an official statement.

This grant will be utilised towards building energy projects through implementation partners, said a statement by GB chief secretary's office.

The project will help alleviate the suffering of the people who are at the forefront, bearing the impact of climate change and global warming.
