Engineers protest violation of merit in irrigation jobs.
HYDERABAD -- Engineers coming from different parts of Sindh staged a demonstration outside local press club on Sunday in protest against 'distribution' of jobs in the irrigation department in violation of merit.
Organised by the Sindh Agricultural Engineers Action Committee, the protest was aimed at urging the authorities to respect the rights of agriculture engineers as they faced neglect by the departments related to their field of study.
Led by Ali Raza Otho, Abdullah Veesar and Abdullah Soomro, they said that green revolution would not be possible unless deserving graduates were treated on merit.
