Elections of tehsil council presiding officers on 25th.

PESHAWAR -- The Election Commission of Pakistan has fixed Jan 25 for elections of presiding officers of city/tehsil councils in 36 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for which meetings of the respective councils will be held the same day.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's provincial election commissioner Shamshad Khan has called upon all the members of the councils, who are electoral college, to elect their respective presiding officers on the said date.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, the provincial election commissioner stated that the ECP had already issued a notification in this regard.

He stated that the ECP had also appointed returning officers for the said elections and they had also been imparted necessary orientation/training on Jan 16.
