Election material distributed to polling staff in Larkana.

LARKANA -- Local Bodies Election 2022 will be held today, Sunday in 14 districts of Sindh's four divisions including Larkana, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas and Shaheed Benazirabad.

In this regard, the polling process will continue from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm without any break. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has completed preparations for the municipal elections. Presiding officers have been given powers of magistrate. Police personnel have been deployed around the polling stations while police and Rangers have been deployed at the most sensitive polling stations.

However, from Saturday morning till evening, the appointment of polling staff, including Presiding Officers, Assistant Presiding Officers, Polling Officers and other staff, was done in two or three places instead of putting duty in one place due to this, teachers faced intense hardships in the prevailing heatwave for no fault of their own.
