Elders oppose petroleum institute on their land.

KARAK -- The elders of Thordhand area have opposed the provincial government's plan to build the proposed petroleum institute on their lands.

Talking to mediapersons on Tuesday, the elders, including Naqeebullah Khan, Mast Khan, Inayatullah Khan and others, alleged that the MNA from Karak was trying to save the lands of his blue-eyed persons and wanted to occupy their agriculture lands for the project which was sheer injustice with them.

They said that the government wanted to take their lands at Rs200,000 per kanal, which was unacceptable to them.
