Eight commercial plazas sealed.

RAWALPINDI -- Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Sunday sealed eight unauthorised commercial plazas in Mohra Chhappar, Hayal Dhamyal and Mohri Ghazan on Chakri Road.

According to an RDA spokesman, Building Control Wing of the authority conducted the operation in its ongoing drive against unauthorised commercial-cum residential construction activities including plazas, shops, schools and other illegal land use encroachments within the controlled area of RDA in Rawalpindi.

He said owners of these properties constructed illegal commercial buildings without the authority's approval, in violation of Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and RDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2020.
