Easy to Build a Child but Not Easy to Repair an Adult.

Do we ever think about "What is a Child". Probably not because child's personality is closely linked to his parents. A child has to be dependent on them and to his parents, they give him birth, food, shelter, care, education and growing him up and that is where parents think that they have fulfilled their duties. But those who do understand meaning of being child, they nourish child's mental health, emotional balance, boosting self-confidence and knowing that how parent's acts and behaviors may affect child's nourishment.

Hence, being child and dependent on parents mean to fulfill not only physical needs but also psychological needs and desires. Child comes into this world with a blank slate where things are imprinted as he learns to essential mechanism to survive. Child's perception is crucial in his wellbeing not as being a child but later on as an adult too. Child perceives things happening around and gives meaning to them that could be positive or negative based on the environment he is thriving in. True conflict for a child arises when he has to go through a traumatic situation. That is the point where he keeps running in a maze and solving a puzzle. Child perceives things like as happy, sad and related to trauma.

Trauma is a psychological threat or assault to a child physical integrity, self respect, safety or survival, or to the physical Easy to Build a Child but Not Easy to Repair an Adult Sidra Naz safety of another person significant to the child. Contributing factors in trauma were Parental / caregiver factors, environmental factors, neighborhood, poverty, economic conditions (more vulnerable), cultural factors, country situations (terrorism, flood, earthquake and others), unsafe environment, separation from parents and illness / medical procedures.

Abuse has six types such as physical abuse to beat somebody, neglect which includes neglect from parents, emotional Abuse / psychological abuse to emotionally torture somebody, sexual abuse include inappropriate touch. The spiritual abuse (share points of different cities) including in Pakistan were developing fear of God, teaching incorrect theology, do not understand children's views, exclude them from mosque / church and temple, discrimination, threatening that God will punish you, keeping them away because they make a noise, scolding, shouting at them during worship to discipline them, extra pressurizing etc.
