Drive against encroachments begin in Mangla-lake view city.

MIRPUR (AJK) -- The local authorities and City Municipal Corporation have launched an extensive drive against the encroachments across the Mangla-lake view city of Mirpur, official sources said.

The phase-wise drive had been launched on the orders of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to make the city clean of all sorts of encroachments.

The district administration and Municipal Corporation removed the encroachments which were illegally-constructed on either side of the city roads and streets including the main Allama Iqbal road.

The sources told reporter here on Monday, the mobile teams removed the encroachments on Allama Iqbal road and in front of the Hotel Grand Regency and Hotel Jabeer, and also at the Bank Squire.
