Drawing workshop for children opens at Alhamra.

LAHORE -- A two-day drawing workshop for children opened at Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall, on Wednesday.

The visual art activity was an enriching experience for 30 or so children who spread colours on paper and drew lines according to their imagination.

The exhibition organised by Lahore Arts Council was inaugurated by MPA Sadia Sohail Rana flanked by Secretary Information and Culture Raja Jahangir and LAC Executive Director Ather Ali Khan.

The workshop is being conducted by Mina Haroon, LAC assistant director (visual arts).

Ms Haroon said: 'Such workshops provide a platform to children to come up with their creative skills and ideas, the age bracket for this exhibition which is five to 15 years is the most conducive span of one's life. The children had done some tremendous work during the workshop.'

Haroon said children were given training in basic techniques in the workshop.
