Dr Mohammad Anwar - end of an era.

LAHORE -- Noted child specialist Dr Mohammad Anwar passed away here on Wednesday morning. He was 93.

He had been unwell for the past one year or so and had not been visiting his clinic for quite some time, said his assistant.

'He will be deeply mourned by his wife, his children and grandchildren, his relatives and the countless people whose lives he touched,' reads a message shared by members of his family.

His funeral will be held at 9:30am on Thursday (today) at his 56-G, Gulberg, residence.

At a time when there were not many child specialists around, Dr Anwar became a household name and he administered treatment to children of more than a generation -- especially to those hailing from Lahore and thereabouts.
