Dr Khalid Mahmood again elected JI emir for AJK and GB.

ISLAMABAD -- Dr Khalid Mahmood Khan was again elected emir of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) for a three-year term.

Dr Khalid Mahmood Khan was chosen for the slot by the party's General Council with majority. According to spokesman, the election of emir of Jamaat-i-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan is conducted after every three years.

Dr Khalid Mahmood has been elected emir of Jamaat-i-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan for the session 2020 to 2023.

It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Khalid Mahmood Khan was elected again for the second term of three years
