Dr Alvi awards prizes to Winter Sports winners.

ISLAMABAD -- President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi on Sunday awarded medals and trophies to the winners of the different events conducted during the Winter Sports Competitions held at PAF Ski Resort, Naltar.

During a prize distribution ceremony, Dr Alvi distributed medals, trophies and prizes among top performing players and teams of the 28th National Alpine Ski Championship, 3rd Ice Hockey Championship, 4th Snowboarding Cup, 15th Shah Khan Alpine Ski Cup and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Ski Cup.

Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts were awarded the 28th National Ski Championship Trophy, Pakistan's two time winter Olympian Mohammad Karim of PAF was awarded gold medals in both Slalom and Giant Slalom categories while 15th Shah Khan Alpine Ski Cup was awarded to PAF team with PAF skier Naveed being awarded the gold medal.

The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) Ski Cup was awarded to Gilgi-Baltistan Scouts while Waqar Junior was awarded gold and silver medals. In the Slalom category, former Olympian Mohammad Abbas from PAF was awarded gold medal and in Giant Slalom category, Waqar Junior of GB...
