Don't look towards govt for jobs: Fawad Ch.

ISLAMABAD -- Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that the people should not look towards the government for jobs. Addressing the second Deans International Conference of Engineering Institutions in Islamabad, the minister said that they were abolishing 400 departments. 'People are talking about provision of 10 million jobs. We cannot provide jobs to anyone. The economy will sink if provide jobs to the people,' he said. 'It was the mentality of the 70s that governments would provide jobs now the private sector provides jobs.' Later, Fawad Chaudhry made a U-turn and negated his statement, saying his statement was made a headline out of context.
