Doctors on strike at Sargodha DHQ today.

SARGODHA -- The Grand Health Alliance, Sargodha chapter, on Friday decided to hold a strike at inpatient and outpatient departments of the DHQ Teaching Hospital today (Saturday) in protest against the government's reluctance to pay heed to legitimate demands of the alliance at the provincial level.

The strike will continue till the acceptance of demands.

Dr Waqas Ahmad, chairman Grand Health Alliance, made the announcement after in a joint meeting here.

He said that the seniors and junior doctors, paramedics, staff nurses and representatives of other health employees also attended the meeting and unanimously decided to support the Grand Health Alliance's strike.

CORRUPTION: The district administration took notice of misappropriation of huge funds in installation of filtration plants and public toilets in the city. It would send the case against the corrupt elements to the National accountability Bureau (NAB).

This was disclosed by Deputy Commissioner Asia Gul while talking to the media at the press club.
