Doctors found absent from Lakki hospital.

LAKKI MARWAT -- Additional deputy commissioner Dr Tariqullah on Tuesday visited the rural health centre in Serai Gabila town here and found that no doctor was present on duty in the hospital.

The inspection visit was arranged following public complaints about the doctors' absence. He also took notice of unhygienic conditions and non-functional solar power system at the hospital.

He expressed his anger over the poor state of affairs in the RHC and said that the absence of doctors was hindering provision of healthcare to the rural population.

The ADC said that he would share the report of his inspection visit with the district health authorities to initiate action against the truant employees.

Also in the day, Dr Tariqullah visited the Government Higher Secondary School, Tajazai, to check attendance of teachers. He also conducted academic evaluation of the students and appreciated Principal Khalid Wahab over his performance.
