Dir people assured of speedy work on road.

LOWER DIR -- The residents of Jandol here on Sunday ended their protest sit-in after they got an assurance from the local administration that speedy work would be ensured on the Timergara-Munda road project from July 1.

Earlier, hundreds of Jandol people came on the Munda road at Kotkay and blocked it to traffic. They also chanted slogans against the government for its failure to complete the reconstruction of the road.

Demanding speedy work on the road, the protesterscomplained that the concerned construction organisation worked only two days a week on the site. They said the reconstruction work had become a nuisance for the local population.
