Dir hairdressers protest fines over SOP violation.

LOWER DIR -- The local hairdressers held a protest rally in Chal(dara against the administration for what they called teasing them in the name of enforcing standard operating procedures to control spread of coronavirus.

The members of Adenzai chapter of Sulemani Welfare Association gathered outside Chakdara Press Club where they were addressed by their leaders.

The speakers including provincial president of the association Mohammad Sharif Kohlu, tehsil president Abidullah and others alleged that they wanted to meet the officials of local administration but they were not allowed.

They said that Adenzai administration imposed illegal fines on them and harassed them. They said that their outlets were frequently raided and heavy fines were imposed on them.

The speakers saidthathairdressersthroughoutthecountry were following the SOPs and charged the same amount but the administration imposed fines on their colleagues in Adenzai. They said that workers were already unable to feed their families owing to lockdown. They threatened to observe complete shutter down across the province if administration continued to impose fines on them.

GUTTED: Fire damaged two rooms of a house and all household items in Mayar village of Jandol on Sunday night.

The residents and police said fire broke out at mid night due to unknown reason in the two-room house of Rahimdad.
