Departments directed to provide maximum facilities to people of Thar.

MITHI -- The members of the monitoring committee formed by Supreme Court of Pakistan on health and other basic issues of Thar on the other day reached Thar under the supervision of the convener of the committee and the provincial secretary for Implementation and Coordination Mr. Riaz Ahmed Siddiqui. The committee directed the local officials of the various departments to provide the maximum facilities to the people of the district in the light of the directions of the Supreme Court and the team members during their previous meeting with the officials. Mr. Siddiqui, Commissioner Mirpurkhas division Abdul Waheed Shaikh, the district and the sessions judge Mithi, Mushtaq Ahmed Kalwar, DC Thar, Dr. Shehzad Tahir Thaheem, DG health Sindh, Dr. Masood Ahmed Solangi, the known activist from Thar, Dr. Sono Khanghrani and other members held the meeting with the officials of health, public health engineering department, livestock, forest, agriculture, private firmstasked with installing and maintaining RO plants in Darbar Hall in Mithi on the other day and others and urged them leave no stone unturned to provide the required facilities in the entire desert region and ensure that no lethargy was committed by any department.

Mr. Siddiqui asked the DHO Tharparkar to write a letter to the high-ups of the health department for providing the more funds so that medicines, free ambulance service and other healthcare facilities could be provided to the patients in the major towns and big villages across the district.
