Denial of dog-bite vaccine: Two DHQ hospital staffers suspended.

SAHIWAL -- Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamal Mann has suspended pharmacist and storekeeper of Pakpattan DHQ Hospital for not providing dog-bite vaccine to patients at Bandpur village.

Reports said a stray dog bit four people Muhammad Khalil, Muhammad Saleem, a woman and a three-year-old child at Bandpur village on Friday morning.

The families rushed to DHQ hospital for dog-bite vaccination. The hospital pharmacy refused to provide them with vaccine. The families were asked to buy vaccine from the market.

Later, someone reported the matter on social media upon which the DC took notice and formed a committee headed by CEO health Dr. Ather to probe the matter.

After inquiry report, the DC suspended the pharmacist and storekeeper for showing negligence and inappropriate behaviour to patients.
