Deputy Commissioner Ali Annan Qamar says practical steps should be taken to prevent the dengue virus before the rainy season.

Presiding over a meeting to review the dengue situation, he said only there was only one dengue patient in the district while others were under observation.

Additional Deputy Commissioner General Ehsanul Haq, Assistant Commissioner Muzaffargarh Jamil Haider Shah, CEO Health Dr Muhammad Fayyaz were also present in the meeting.

Mr Qammar said the scope of diagnosis of dengue should be widened and such places and breeding spots of dengue mosquitoes be screened.
