Demo held against demolition of houses.

LARKANA -- Dwellers of rice canal staged a sit-in near Dodai rice canal on Monday against the demolition of their houses. The participants holding Holy Book in their hands were joined by GDA MPA Moazim Ali Abbasi, JUI-F's provincial general secretary Maulana Rashid Mahmood Soomro, Jeay Sindh Mahaz Chairman Riaz Chandio and members of civil society. While addressing the participants, these leaders said that rulers should fear of God or they would l face Allah's chastisement. They said when Bengalis, Burmese and Biharis were given houses in Karachi, then why the poverty-stricken people of Larkana and Sukkur were not being given homes. They said when Sukkur's Bunder wall was demolished, the residents were compensated.
