DCs ordered to identify land for new grid stations.

PESHAWAR -- Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed Peshawar Electric Supply Company to speed up work on upgradation of existing power supply infrastructure to overcome the issues of loadshedding and low voltage in the province.

A statement issued here on Thursday said that the chief minister also directed deputy commissioners to immediately identify land required for establishing new grid stations in their respective districts and submit a report to that effect within next 15 days.

The statement said that chief minister chaired a meeting to review progress on development projects regarding provision of uninterrupted electricity to people.

The meeting was given a detailed briefing about the progress made so far on the projects being executed to resolve the issues of low voltage and loadshedding in various areas of the province.
