DC Abbottabad for ensuring implementation of winter contingency plan.

ABBOTTABAD -- Deputy Commissioner Tariq Salam Marwat on Tuesday emphasized all the departments to work together for facilitating tourists and protecting their lives.

He issued these instructions while chairing a meeting regarding the winter contingency plan attended by the representatives of concerned departments and district administration officers.

Marwat said that Galyat Development Authority (GDA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority (KPH), C and W and all other departments should ensure the provision of winter uniforms for their staff and facilities for all their heavy-duty vehicles during snowfall so that all staff can perform their duties in a better way.

He directed PTCL to complete road repair work as soon as possible after laying underground cables in Galyat and across the city. WAPDA should work diligently to restore electricity in Galyat so that electricity can be provided to people even during snowfall.
