Day-care facility for senior citizens opens at LNH.

KARACHI -- A senior citizen healthcare centre was inaugurated at the Liaquat National Hospital on Tuesday.

The first day-care facility for the elderly in Pakistan, the centre is to be looked after by a team of specialist doctors, psychiatrists and physiotherapists and traiAned nursing staff.

It offers consultation clinics, an exercise area, a walking track, indoor games and comfortable space for interaction.

'I have seen many old people living in huge houses alone, simply because their children decided to live abroad. I often used to think that how servants can take care of their needs, especially emotional needs.
