Dadu laborer demands justice.

DADU -- A laborer named Bashir Mallah, resident of Bukhari Colony recorded a boisterous protest demonstration along with his family members for the provision of justice to him on Thursday. While talking to the media, the protesting man said that the police have registered a fake theft case against him due to which he is facing a plethora of hardships. He also met with the SSP Dadu, who ordered the B-Section Police to conduct an enquiry into the case registered against him for the provision of justice to him but no step has been taken by the officials in this regard. On the occasion, the protesting man demanded of the SSP Dadu Irfan Ali Samo to take notice of the very serious matter and provide justice to him.

Seminar held for World Hepatitis Day in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Health Experts speaking in a seminar on 'World Hepatitis Day' at a local hotel here at Hyderabad yesterday laid stress on screening of hepatitis B and C to control the disease from spreading on a large scale and at an alarming level.

Addressing at seminar organized by Health Department under the Chief Minister Hepatitis Prevention and Control Program, Sindh for creating awareness about hepatitis B and C among common people, Dr. Zulfiqar Dharejo, In-charge of Hepatitis Prevention and Control Program, Sindh presenting the current state of Hepatitis informed that Pakistan has second highest prevalence rate of hepatitis in the world. He said this year WHO raised slogan for common people 'I cannot wait to get tested' adding that it was message for common people to get tested and if diagnosed Hepatitis get treated as soon as possible. He said that as per Pakistan Medical Research Council one million people are victim of Hepatitis B and 2 million people are Hepatitis C. He said that keeping in view this alarming situation Sindh Government has been working on hepatitis program since 2009 and under this programme 63 treatment and 19 vaccine centers are giving treatment to the common people free of cost.
