CPEC to create new job opportunities, says Tehmina Janjua.

ISLAMABAD -- Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua on Tuesday said that the flagship, multi-billion dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project will create millions of jobs in the region.

Addressing a seminar in the federal capital, Tehmina Janjua termed CPEC vital for Pakistan's economic progress and added that the project will foster collaborations and bring regional countries closer.

She said CPEC is an imperative part of China's 'Belt and Road 'project and underscored the importance of inter-countries relations in the region.

The foreign secretary declared PM Imran's recent visit to china highly successful and added that Pakistan is trying to boost ties with central Asian countries. She said that the government is also devising strategy to increase trade ties with Turkey and Iran.

Tehmina Janjua said that Pakistan and China is moving toward the next phase of CPEC and added that 19 economic zones will be established across the country in the new phase. She said Gwadar port will open new trade...
