Covid-19: track and trace.

APROPOS the editorial 'Local transmission' (April 26). A smart lockdown is not the answer but, at the same time, the hunger/poverty factor must also be kept in mind. The initiative taken by the prime minister is commendable in stopping the virus from further spread through track and trace.

It has also been established that 80 per cent of the spread is through local transmission. Besides the advice given by medical professionals, the prime minster should ask all parliamentarians to visit their respective constituencies and highlight the consequences of Covid-19, if it remains unchecked.
