Court stops issuance of offer letters.

SUKKUR -- The Sukkur bench of the Sindh High Court on Thursday stopped education department from issuing 'offer letters' to the candidates from 'hard' areas and directed education secretary to appear in court with relevant record of the hard areas on Jan 26.

The double bench comprising Justices Salahuddin Panhwar and Abdul Mubeen Lakho heard a petition filed by the candidates who had secured over 40 marks, but remained neglected in the recruitment process.

Petitioners' counsel advocate Qurban Ali Balouch informed the bench that the Sindh government had neglected merit and recruited those who had secured less than 40 marks.

The counsel added that with such steps, the provincial government had neglected the deserving candidates who had secured over 40, 45 and 55...
