Couple held with kidnapped minor.

BAHAWALNAGAR -- Police claimed on Tuesday to have recovered a minor boy and arrested his two captors in Haroonabad.

According to a press release issued by the DPO office, trader Muhammad Rasheed's wife went to a wedding ceremony along with her two-and-a-half year-old son Bilal on Dec 7 where a man and a woman engaged her in a conversation and disappeared with the child. Later, the suspects called Rasheed and demanded a ransom of Rs500,000 and threatened to kill his son if he did not comply with the demand.

Muhammad Rasheed informed the area police and an FIR of the incident was registered.
