Counsel for lawyers seeks time to argue in bail petitions.

ISLAMABAD -- The counsel for four lawyers, facing charges of attack on the Chief Justice Block of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), on Monday sought time to argue in their clients' post-arrest bail petitions.

The IHC division bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani was hearing the petitions. The bail petitions were filed by Zafar Warriach, Shuaib Sheikh, Naveed Hayat Malik and Nazia Bibi.

The court, however, was told that advocate Zafar Warriach and Shuaib Sheikh have already been discharged (absolved) in this case.

The four lawyers were among those 32 lawyers who were booked under various sections of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) for damaging the government property and making the...
