Correct balance on the crease is key for batsmen, says Yousuf.

LAHORE -- Former middle-order batsman Mohammad Yousuf has said that Babar Azam's perfect balance on the crease is making him a successful batsman of the world.

In a chat with the current Pakistani batsmen through video link, Yousuf, who served Pakistan for 13 years as a leading batsman, said that a correct balance for a batsman is the key, otherwise he could face a lot of problems in international cricket.

Giving his own example, Yousuf said that he tried to learn every day about the game and that is how he improved. 'Once I was also struggling due to lack of footwork but then head coach of Pakistan,Bob Woolmer worked very hard with me to remove the flaw,' he recalled.

Yousuf also urged the need of fitness for players and advised the batsmen not to compromise on this important factor of the game. He said the current break due to the Covid-19 lockdown could be seen as an opportunity to make one physically and mentally strong for the challenges ahead.
