Cop thrashed for 'asking woman for her phone number'.

FAISALABAD -- Some residents of Jhok Ditta village, Satiana, thrashed a police constable who allegedly forced a women to give him her mobile phone number.

A video of the episode also went viral on social media in which a woman could be seen slapping and rebuking the policeman. She could also be heard scolding the policeman 'how dare you ask me for my mobile number'.

Alerted by the scolding woman, some village residents gathered on the spot and gave a sound thrashing to the police constable. They also tore the constable's clothes.

The video clip also showed a man carrying a liquor bottle and claiming it was recovered from the constable, who kept requesting the people to let him go.
