Consultant hired to conduct survey for Peshawar-D.I.Khan Expressway-KP CM.

PESHAWAR -- Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtukhwa Mahmood Khan said that consultant has been hired and mobilized to conduct survey for Peshawar to D.I.Khan Expressway which is expected to be completed by January 2020.

The project will help in linking southern belt of the province with major communication routes, promote tourism and trade and will also help in promoting industrialization in the province.

Chief Minister has stated that Daraband Economic Zone in D.I.Khan will help in the development of the southern districts along with providing local residents with livelihood opportunities.

He was chairing the 2nd review meeting of the priority projects including Rashakai Economic Zone, Swat Economic Zone, Daraband Economic Zone, Mohmand Marble Economic Zone, Buner Marble City and progress on Insaf Rozgar Scheme at Chief Minister Secretariat here.

Chief Minister stated that industrialization in the province is the paramount importance in order to eradicate unemployment, provide livelihood opportunities and established economic self sustainability of the province.

While briefing the Chief Minister regarding progress on Insaf Rozgar scheme in the newly merged Tribal Districts, the meeting was informed that 7257 forms have been received till 30th September of the ongoing year and financial loans worth Rs.129.68 million have already been disbursed.

Chief Minister directed to speed up the revision and approval process so that maximum number of youth from the tribal districts may be provided with loans for initiation of businesses.

Chief Minister was informed that the development agreement for Rashakai Economic Zone will be completed in the next 10 days whereas the advertisement for tender process has already been completed and evaluation of pre-qualification is in process.
