Confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan soar to 144,478; death toll rises to 2,729.

ISLAMABAD -- 5,248 new Coronavirus cases have surfaced in the country over the last twenty four hours taking the total tally to 144,478 here on Monday. The death toll from the virus stands at 2,729 with 97 deaths reported over the last 24 hours. 29,085 corona tests were carried out during the last 24 hours; meanwhile so far total 897,650 coronavirus tests have been conducted in whole country.

53,721 patients have so far recovered from the disease; meanwhile 88,028 active coronaviuirs are present in the country. The patients with critical condition are also increasing with the passage of everyday and number of critical coronaviurs patients reached 3,144 on Monday. Punjab province is at first position in terms of coronavirus patients and death due to coronavirus.
