Confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan soar to 139,230; death toll rises to 2632 There are 2827 critical coronavirus patients in country.

ISLAMABAD -- Record 6,825 new Coronavirus cases have surfaced in the country over the last 24 hours taking the total tally to 139,230. The death toll from the virus stands at 2,632 with 81 deaths reported over the last twenty four hours. There are 2827 critical coronavirus patients in country. 29,546 corona tests were carried out during last 24 hours; meanwhile so far 868565 coronavirus patients in the country. 51,735 patients have so far recovered from the disease. Meanwhile there are 84,863 active coronavirus cases in the country.

According to the latest details issued by the National Command and Control Center (NCOC) on Sunday, the confirmed coronavirus patients include 52,601 in Punjab, 51,518 in Sindh, 17,450 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 8,028 in Balochistan, 7,934 in Islamabad, 1,095 in Gilgit Baltistan and 604 in Azad Kashmir.

As per details, 21 percent of the cases have foreign travel history while 79 percent of the cases are reported to be locally transmitted.

In Punjab after sharp increase in the cases, the number of patients swelled to 52,601 in the province. The province reported 969 coronavirus (COVID-19) causalities. So far 17,650 corona patients have recovered from the disease and there are 33,982 active corona virus patients present in the province.

In Sindh the cases of infection have surged to 51,518 in the province, the most affected region in Pakistan. The death toll has reached to 816 in the province. So far 24,387 coronavirus patients have recovered from the disease; meanwhile still 26,315 active coronavirs cases are present in...
