Completion of formalities for culture, tourism authority ordered.

PESHAWAR -- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Saturday directed the relevant officials to complete all formalities to operation alise the newly-established KP Culture and Tourism Authority.

He was chairing a meeting of the board of directors of the Tourism Corporation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The meeting was attended by chief secretary Dr Kazim Niaz, additional chief secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, board members and other senior officials, said a statement issued here.

The chief minister directed the authorities to complete all legal, financial and administrative formalities to wind up the TCKP, hand over its assets and liabilities to the culture and tourism authority, and absorb all its employees in it in a prescribed manner.

He said the promotion of tourism sector in the province was one of the top priorities of his government.
