Colleges on march route closed for two days.

TOBA TEK SINGH -- Different government colleges were closed in Faisalabad city and the district for Monday and Tuesday in connection with the three-day long march of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, led by central secretary general Asad Umar.

According to a notification issued by deputy director, 10 colleges remained closed on Monday. They included government associate college for women Chak 61 JB Narwala Road, government Islamia graduate college for women Eidgah Road, five graduate colleges for women of Peoples Colony, Chak 122 JB, Sargodha Road, Karkhana Bazaar and Chak 215 RB, government graduate college Abdullahpur, government municipal college Jaranwala Road and government graduate college Peoples Colony No 1.

Three colleges will remain closed on Tuesday (today) in Jaranwala tehsil. They are: government graduate college, government women graduate college and government associate college Satiana Road.

When the rally of cars and motorcycles, led by Asad Umar, reached Khurrianwala, scores of people, including workers of textile mills, welcomed the participants. Mr Umar delivered a brief speech at Khurrianwala Chowk and departed for Chak Jhumra. Traffic remained out of gear for at least two hours on Faisalabad-Lahore Road between Faisalabad and Khurrianwala.
