Cold westerly wave grips city, brings rain to upper Sindh.

KARACHI -- Cold winds gripped the city on Thursday evening as the westerly wave persisting over Balochistan extended towards lower Sindh.

The minimum temperature recorded on Thursday morning was nine degrees Celsius.

'What we are experiencing in the city is just the extension of the westerly wave that has brought rain and snowfall in Balochistan,' chief meteorologist Dr S. Sarfaraz said, adding that the system brought light rain to upper Sindh, including the areas of Larkana, Sukkur and Jacobabad.
