CM Sindh visits Hyderabad flood-affected districts, obtains victims' cell numbers to inquire daily ordeal.

KARACHI -- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to witness the plight of the flood affectees, living in the camps along the roads, visited them personally in four districts of Hyderabad division and personally ensured to obtain a cell number from one of the affected persons in each camp just to interact and know their ordeal.

'I have come here to see you without informing the district administration so that I can witness in which conditions you are living, how much relief goods you are receiving, and how much attention is given to your problems,' he told the affected people.

He further added: 'Now, I have your cell number so that I can talk to you personally to know the response of the administration giving to your complaints and about your problems that how much it is being addressed,' said a statement on Thursday

He started his visit from the Thatta district where he directly went to visit Gel Mori camp, near Pir Patho.

He mixed up with the affected people as they apprised him about the provision of ration bags and water, also complaining that the designated doctor only visited them once, which was many days ago.

The chief minister then directed the District Health Officer (DHO) to visit the camps twice a week.

On his way to Monarki Bund of the River Indus, the CM stopped his vehicle by watching children playing near the road, asking them to take him to their school.

The children accompanied him to their school - Govt Primary School Gel Mori.

The CM Sindh visited different classrooms while having frank interaction with the students. The CM then stressed the students to work harder and attain a higher position in their educational life.

The children apprised the chief minister that their school was without electricity.

At this, the chief minister pledged to solarize the school and vowed to visit them again.

Syed Murad Ali Shah, after visiting the school went to Gel Mori Basic Health Unit where OPD was in progress.

When he reached there around 150 patients, mostly the flood victims were getting examined. The doctor present on the duty told the chief minister that most of the patients were suffering from malaria and skin diseases.

On the last leg of Thatta's visit, Syed Murad Ali Shah went to the embankment of River Indus known as Gulel Area where a camp was established along the bund (dyke).
