Last Friday, the public marches were held in as many as 30 cities of Pakistan to draw attention towards climate change emergency. Though Pakistan contributes little to the world's carbon footprint, it is unfortunately eight on the list of the countries most affected by climate change.

In 2012, Pakistan was the first country to establish a Climate Change Ministry, and framed, later on, Climate Change Policy. But the former remained dormant and the latter was not implemented properly.
