Clemency for Malik.

THERE were reports in the media recently that disgraced cricketer Salim Malik had asked to be pardoned and that he should be allowed to coach or contribute in some way to the game in which he excelled.

My reaction is, why not? People do make mistakes, get punished and then allowed to move on with their lives as this gives them a chance for atonement.

Malik was a very talented player in his heyday. As such, he can prove useful in the capacity of a coach, organiser or a selector. In any case, the Pakistan Cricket Board seems to be short of people who can contribute to the PCB or coach players for different...
