City Improvement Project to ensure civil amenities in all cities of KP: Minister.

PESHAWAR -- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Faisal Amin Gandapur on Friday said that work on multi billion rupees Khyber Pakhtunkhwa City Improvement Project (KPCIP) was in full swing that would ensure availability of all civil amenities in all cities of the province.

He said the project funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB) would provide services including solid waste management, infrastructure development and others for durable urban development.

He was presiding over a special meeting on development schemes in Mardan under KPCIP at Local Government Secretariat Peshawar wherein elected representatives from Mardan including Provincial Assembly members viz Provincial Minister for Food Muhammad Atif Khan, Zahir Shah Toru, Abdul Salam Afridi, Project Director Syed Zafar Ali Shah and concerned high-ups were present.

The meeting took stock of the various development aspects of Mardan in the light of the recommendations of the members of the Assembly and necessary decisions were taken.
