Chohan announces special package for COVID-19 affected media workers.

LAHORE -- :Punjab Information and Culture Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan has announced that every COVID-19 affected media worker would be given Rs 100,000 from the Information Department.

According to a statement issued here on Saturday, he said that in case of any unfortunate death of a media worker, the government would give one million rupees to the family, in addition to monthly pension of Rs 10,000 to the spouse for life.

He said that applications for availing special relief package for media could be submitted to the DGPR office.
