ISLAMABAD -- Children should work on their dreams, not in the fields. Child labour is a social evil that prevents a society from progressing and everyone must condemn it.

This was said by Senate Chairman Mohammad Sadiq Sanjrani on the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour on Sunday.

'Let us resolve to exterminate the social evil and create a safe, happy and supportive environment for children,' Mr Sanjrani said, adding that child labour perpetuated poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, population growth and other social problems.
