Chairman PRCS acknowledges role of women volunteers in society.

ISLAMABAD -- Chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Sardar Shahid Ahmed Laghari on Thursday acknowledged the crucial role being played by women volunteers in our society.

'Women have always been at the forefront of humanitarian work, serving their communities with passion, dedication and selflessness, the chairman said in connection with International Women's Day.

Recognizing the struggle that women face daily, the chairman said, 'From providing healthcare services to delivering aid during disasters, women have always been there, making a difference in the lives of those who need it the most'.

He said women continue to face discrimination, violence, and inequality in Pakistan and around the world.

'We must continue to work together to create a world where women are treated with respect and dignity, where their voices are heard, and their rights are protected', he said.
