CDWP approves nine projects worth Rs. 40bln.

ISLAMABAD -- Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has approved nine projects worth 40 billion rupees and recommended two projects worth 55.5 billion rupees to Executive Committee of the National Economic Council for consideration.

The meeting of CDWP was held in Islamabad on Thursday with Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan in the chair.

A project named "Establishment of Regional Grid in Gilgit- Baltistan Phase-1" worth 4959.187 million rupees was also approved by CDWP.

Another project titled "220 KvNawab Shah Substation" worth 6291.80 million rupees was approved.

The meeting also gave approval to project on "220 KvLarkana New substations" worth 6449.40 million rupees.

The forum accorded assent to "Procurement of 220 KvMibile Grid station along with the Emergency Recovery of System and 500 Kv shunt Reactors for Emergency Services" worth 6978.95 million rupees.

A project titled "220 KV Swabi Substation" worth 6399.84 million rupees was also approved in the meeting.

The CDWP also approved a project namely "Pakistan Research Reactor-3" worth 4671.050 million rupees in Science and Technology sector.
