CDA wants remaining work on Margalla Road completed.

ISLAMABAD -- Engineering Wing of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has asked the Frontier Work Organisation (FWO) to complete minor remainder work of Margalla Road such as installation of cat eyes, road signage and some asphalt work.

The CDA through a letter dated March 20, had asked the FWO- the contractor of Margalla Road from G.T. Road to D-12 to complete the remainder work.

The civic agency has asked the contractor to improve the quality of the road, complete the signage, lane marking and the construction work of road in last RD area. The letter further said that there is need to complete work of Shah Allah Ditta underpass approach roads, drainage work and retaining walls, tourism and historical signage.

The contractor was also asked to do cleaning of drains, proper dressing of slopes as per engineering practices including dressing and leveling of surplus earth and replacement of some faulty kerbstone. The 10.4 km long Margalla Road project from G.T. Road to D-12 has been...
