CCPA forwards summary to NEPRA seeking hike in power tariff by Rs 2.07 per unit.

ISLAMABAD -- Government is all set to drop another electricity bombshell on the people as Central Power Purchase Agency (CPPA) has sent summary to National Electric Power Regulatory (NEPRA) to scale up power tariff by Rs2.07 per unit.

According to media reports the electricity tariff is being enhanced under the head of Fuel Adjustment Surcharge (FAS).

With the approval of the summary the an additional financial burden of Rs 25 billion will be shifted to the consumers.

In previous month the cost of production of 15 billion electricity units remained Rs 106 billion while line losses...
