Candidates seek details of posts in education dept.

BAJAUR -- Scores of candidates, who have applied for various low level posts in the local education department, here on Saturday held a demonstration against the department for not releasing details about the number of posts and merit list.

The demonstration held on main Khar bypass road outside the Civil Colony, Khar, was attended by scores of the applicants and political and social activists who also blocked the road to traffic for over two hours.

They chanted slogans against the education department officials and said that they had applied for the class-IV, driver and other low level posts in the education department several weeks ago.

However, they pointed out that the concerned officials were not issuing details of the said posts which they described as a violation of the department's recruitment policy.

They said that the officials had promised with them to issue details about the posts and display them on the office notice board when they were applying for the said posts.
